The prompt for this project was to design and build a pen in the style of a designer of our choice. I initially was split between a Philippe Stark pen and a Jony Ive pen (both can be seen in renderings below). I tried to emulate the splined surfaces and smooth continuous bodies evident in much of Apple's current industrial design work while also highlighting the functional portion of the pen using the color contrast.
